1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using HowToBecomeAModel.co.uk (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Who We Are

HowToBecomeAModel.co.uk is operated by Goo Ventures, a sole trader registered in England and Wales.

3. Description of Service — Distribution Only

HowToBecomeAModel.co.uk provides a portfolio email distribution service. Specifically, we:

• Collect your modelling portfolio information (photos, measurements, experience)
• Generate a professionally formatted PDF portfolio from your submitted materials
• Send that PDF by email to agencies in our database on your behalf

That is the entirety of our service. We are not a modelling agency, a talent agency, a management company, or an introductions service. We do not represent you, negotiate on your behalf, or act as your agent in any capacity.

UK agency submission is included in the base fee (£20). US agency distribution is available as an optional add-on (£50).

4. No Agency Affiliation

Goo Ventures and HowToBecomeAModel.co.uk have no affiliation, partnership, endorsement, commercial arrangement, or formal relationship of any kind with any modelling agency, talent agency, or other organisation listed in or contacted via our database.

• Agencies in our database are independent third parties. We have no authority over them and they have no obligation to us or to you.
• Agency contact details are sourced from publicly available information (agency websites, industry directories, public records). Their inclusion in our database does not imply any endorsement of, or relationship with, us.
• We do not receive commission, referral fees, or any other payment from any agency in connection with your submission.
• No agency has authorised us to submit portfolios on their behalf, and no agency has agreed to review or respond to submissions made via our Service.

5. No Representations or Guarantees

We make absolutely no representation or guarantee regarding:

• Whether your email will be delivered, opened, or read by any agency
• Whether any agency will respond to your submission
• Whether any agency will offer you representation, a trial, or any work
• Any career outcome, earning potential, or professional opportunity
• The suitability of any agency for your particular goals or circumstances
• The currency or accuracy of agency contact details in our database — agencies may have changed email addresses, ceased trading, or stopped accepting new talent without our knowledge

Our service is limited to email distribution. Career success in modelling depends on many factors entirely outside our control, including your look, experience, the current market, and the individual preferences of agencies.

6. User Eligibility

To use this Service, the person completing the form must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, OR be the parent or legal guardian completing the form on behalf of an applicant under 18
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Have the right to use all photos and materials submitted

By submitting the form and completing payment, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements. If you are submitting on behalf of a minor, you accept these Terms on their behalf and confirm you have parental or guardian authority to do so.

7. Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

8. Content Submission and Rights

8.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the photos, CV, and other materials you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store Your Content, generate a PDF portfolio from it, and distribute it to modelling agencies as part of our Service.

8.2 Content Standards

You confirm that Your Content:

• Is your original work or you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions
• Does not infringe any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy)
• Is appropriate for professional modelling purposes
• Does not contain explicit, sexually graphic, or obscene imagery
• Complies with all applicable laws

9. Payment Terms and Refund Policy

9.1 Fees

• UK agency submission: £20 (one-time fee)
• US agency submission (optional add-on): £50 (one-time fee)

9.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete card details.

9.3 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

You are entitled to a full 14-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked. To request a refund, email us at support@howtobecomeamodel.co.uk within 14 days of your payment date. We will process your refund promptly.

This guarantee is offered voluntarily and satisfies your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

10. Service Delivery

Upon successful payment, we will:

• Generate a PDF portfolio from your submitted materials
• Send your portfolio by email to all active agencies in our database

We aim to dispatch emails within 48 hours of payment confirmation. We cannot guarantee delivery times or that all emails will reach their destination, as factors such as spam filters and full inboxes are outside our control.

11. Agency Database

We maintain a database of modelling agency contact details compiled from publicly available sources. We update it periodically. However:

• Agency contact details may change without our knowledge
• Agencies may close, merge, or stop accepting submissions at any time
• Some emails may bounce due to full inboxes, spam filters, or changed addresses
• We cannot confirm that any agency is currently active or accepting new talent

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logo, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
• Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of earnings or loss of opportunity
• We are not liable for agency responses or lack thereof, offers of representation, or any career outcome
• We are not liable for emails that fail to reach their destination due to spam filters, bounces, or agency server issues

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

14. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Use automated systems to access the Service
• Submit content that infringes third-party rights

15. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to that processing. Your data is used solely to provide the Service — we do not sell your data to third parties.

16. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or submission of prohibited content. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your Content infringing third-party rights, or your use of the Service in breach of applicable law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@howtobecomeamodel.co.uk. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally. If we cannot reach a resolution, you may pursue legal remedies available to you under English law.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
